About Bode Designs

Michael and Priscilla Bode have a small custom furniture shop in Helena, Montana.

Priscilla has been a furniture designer and fine woodworker for 25 years, and studied in the 1980’s with such luminaries of the furniture world as Sam Maloof, Art Carpenter, Jere Osgood and John Nyquist.

Michael is a third generation woodworker with a Danish traditional heritage, and specializes in carving.

The Bode’s have the unique ability to design and make furniture in any style.  Whether your home has a traditional or contemporary feel, they can create just the pieces you are looking for to complement your lifestyle.

The signature piece of Bode Design’s shop is an extraordinarily comfortable dining chair – with its sculpted wooden seat and curved back, you can sit around a dinner table for hours without feeling like you need to get up and leave!

This design is available as a dining chair and as a stool, either 24” high or 30” high.  It can be made in any hardwood of your choosing, with accent woods, in different styles, but it will always be the chair you and your guests will enjoy!
